There are trucks and then there is the new HoBao Hyper MT. Drawing on their many years of experience with 1:8 nitro buggies, HoBao have created a new monster truck platform that promises to be a HUGE hit in more ways than one.
HoBao are renowned for their excellent build quality, strong designs and value for money, and the Hyper MT is no exception. Featuring some modern styling to that old and dated Monster Truck look, the Hyper MT uses an aggres¬sive cab forward style bodyshell with side rails, oversized 12cm diameter low profile spoked that are married up to some high traction low profile block directional pattern tyres for the ultimate in handling and power transfer.
Underneath the body, the Hyper MT features a convenient carry handle/roll bar to protect the big block Hyper 30 6-port pull-start engine. The trucks centre line is balanced with a high capacity offset fuel tank, longitudinally mounted engine and polished aluminium tuned pipe for better handling and control. The main aluminium ladder/truss chassis carries a centre gearbox with internal 2-speed transmission and gear reduction system. All transmission, differential and pinion gears are hard anodized metal for maximum durability.
High quality Savöx servos in the form of the digital metal geared SC0252 10.5kg on the steering and SC0254 7.2kg on throttle control the Hyper MT, while the centre radio box protects and houses the switch, receiver and radio battery pack.
Super stroke high volume oil filled aluminium shock absorbers soak up the terrain via the robustly designed symmetrical front andrear suspension arms, uprights, hub carriers and steering blocks. Adjustable left/right threaded steel turnbuckles provide fine simple suspension geometry adjustment for optimum performance.
All in all this is one hell of amonster ready to be unleashed by you on some unsuspecting local wasteland!
